- 1.1 In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Settings > Domains > Add domain
- 1.2 Enter the FQDN of the subdomain for this tenant.
- 1.3 As the FQDN has never been registered in the tenant, you will need to verify the domain. Select Add a TXT record instead
- 1.4 Click Continue, and note the TXT value generated to verify the domain name
- 1.5 Send the value in the TXT Value field to your Setera technical contact and wait for confirmation before proceeding to the next step.
- 1.6 Once confirmed by Setera that the TXT value is in place, proceed to verify the domain (click Verify)
- 1.7 Click Continue on the next page
- 1.8 On the next page, uncheck Exchange and Exchange Online Protection checkbox and click Continue. On the next page click on Done.
- That’s it, you’re done for the first domain! Now repeat the steps to register the second domain.
- 2. Activate the subdomain name

Setera provides a 2 x FQDN records (subdomains) for customer domain.
Examples:
soexample.teamsgw1.setera.com
soexample.teamsgw2.setera.com
soexample in this example is a unique identification code for each customer.
The following example goes thru the steps of adding a domain to the customer tenant, in the example
soexample.teams.setera.com domain is used.
Note, the following steps need to be repeated for both domains provided.
Please contact your Setera technical contact before proceeding, to agree on a time slot, as some step need to be taken on Setera’s side to finish this configuration.
1.1 In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Settings > Domains > Add domain
1.2 Enter the FQDN of the subdomain for this tenant.
click "Use this domain"
1.3 As the FQDN has never been registered in the tenant, you will need to verify the domain. Select Add a TXT record instead
1.4 Click Continue, and note the TXT value generated to verify the domain name
1.5 Send the value in the TXT Value field to your Setera technical contact and wait for confirmation before proceeding to the next step.
1.6 Once confirmed by Setera that the TXT value is in place, proceed to verify the domain (click Verify)
1.7 Click Continue on the next page
1.8 On the next page, uncheck Exchange and Exchange Online Protection checkbox and click Continue. On the next page click on Done.
That’s it, you’re done for the first domain! Now repeat the steps to register the second domain.
2. Activate the subdomain name
After you have registered the domain names, you need to activate them by adding at least one (test)user and assign a SIP address with the FQDN portion of the SIP address matching the created subdomain in the customer tenant. License can be revoked from user after the subdomain activation (it can take up to 24 hours).
